The unmissable summer event in Paris is definitely National Day. On July 14, the city is transformed for one day. Military and air parades, concerts and fireworks: you won't be bored!

In the open air
The sun and the heat of summer make us want to spend time outside. Fortunately, Paris is full of little gems to take advantage of the nice days.
During the months of July and August, discover Paris Plages. The banks of the Seine and the La Villette basin are transformed into a summer resort. Swimming area, sports activities, cinema on the water and entertainment. It is the essential place of your summer!
Another activity not to be missed: the open-air cinema.
Various locations offer outdoor movie screenings during the summer. The best known is undoubtedly that of the Parc de La Villette.
Summer is the perfect time to enjoy nature. With its 2,300 hectares of greenery, Paris is no exception when it comes to green spaces. Our little favorite: the Tuileries Garden. In summer, it hosts the Tuileries Festival. For 2 months, 60 attractions are offered. Something to amuse young and old alike!

However, summer is synonymous with vacations so we also want to slow down.
Why not start with a walk to rediscover Paris? Get up early and climb Sacré-Coeur to enjoy a magnificent sunrise.
Another idea to try this summer: a cruise on the Seine. Whether it's to discover the monuments from a different angle, to enjoy a good meal or simply to enjoy a moment with friends: set sail this summer!
